Julius Arthur Thiele
Julius Arthur Thiele (born June 11, 1841 in Dresden , † April 30, 1919 in Hohenschäftlarn near Munich ) was a German animal painter.
Thiele studied from 1856 to 1860 at the Dresden Art Academy under Ludwig Richter , from 1861 to 1864 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Julius Hübner and from 1868 to 1872 in Düsseldorf under the animal painter Christian Kröner .
Thiele married in 1882 and moved to Vienna , a few years later he moved to Munich, where he spent the rest of his life. He was a member of the Munich Artists' Cooperative .
