Julius finger

Julius Finger (born June 30, 1826 in Vienna , † December 19, 1894 in Millstatt ) was an Austrian ornithologist .

Life

Julius Finger, born in Vienna in 1826, joined the I. Österreichische Sparcasse after attending grammar school , where he was the first accountant until 1887 . He also worked as an ornithologist and in 1876 handed over his bird collection to the Vienna Natural History Museum . Finger's most valuable treatises are articles on the bird life of Lake Neusiedl and the Adriatic Sea .

Julius Finger died in Millstatt in 1894 at the age of 68.
