Julius Gottlob von Nostitz and Jänkendorf

Julius Gottlob von Nostitz and Jänkendorf (born July 12, 1797 in Doberschau , † March 18, 1870 in Dresden ) was a German landowner and politician. He was a member of the Saxon state parliament and long-time envoy of Saxony to the Bundestag of the German Confederation.

origin

He was the son of the Saxon politician and minister Gottlob Adolf Ernst von Nostitz and Jänkendorf and his wife Henriette Sophia, née von Bose . One of his brothers was the Saxon politician and Minister of the Interior Eduard von Nostitz and Jänckendorf .

Life

Nostitz studied at the University of Leipzig and was active in the Corps Saxonia Leipzig in 1816 . He was later an honorary member of the corps. Like his father, he owned a manor . He was chamberlain and director of the royal Saxon general commission for replacements and common divisions . In 1833/34, 1836/37 (I. Chamber) and 1839/40 (II. Chamber) he was a member for Upper Lusatia in the Saxon State Parliament . With Commissioner Heinrich August Blochmann , he played a key role in the Saxon agricultural reform of the 1830s (law on replacements and common divisions of 1832). From 1838 he was envoy to the Bundestag for many years . In 1855 the Hanseatic City of Bremen made him an honorary citizen . Nostitz was Real Privy Councilor with the predicate excellence .

He married Erdmuthe Charlotte Luise von Rex-Thielau on May 31, 1825 (* December 20, 1805, † July 18, 1884). The couple had several children:
