Julius Hahn (politician)

Julius Hahn (born May 8, 1890 in Baden , Lower Austria ; † October 2, 1972 there ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP , later ÖVP ).

Life

Hahn attended elementary school and grammar school in Baden and then studied law at the University of Vienna . He received his doctorate in 1914 . From 1923 he was an independent lawyer in Baden.

From April 27 to May 2, 1934, Hahn was a Christian Social Member of the Austrian Federal Council for six days ; in the years before the annexation of Austria, he was the main group leader of the Fatherland Front and deputy mayor of the city of Baden. In 1950 he was elected mayor of Baden as a candidate for the ÖVP , an office that he would hold until 1965.
