history

The first documentary mention comes from the year 1844.

The name and foundation of the place goes back to the first owner of the property, Julius Hempel. He had the settlement built between 1844 and 1855.

Later owners of the manor were:

  • 1844 - 1956 Julius Hempel founder of the settlement
  • 1856 - 1871 City of Brehna improvement / leasing
  • around 1869 Otto Wolff owner (or lessee)
  • around 1869 Gustav Hermann Albert Everth (bailiff and owner)
  • 1871 –1911 Karl Adolf Feldmann (economic and landscape councilor)
  • 1911 - 1929 Adolf Oskar Feldmann
  • (1929 - 1932) Helene Feldmann (as legal guardian (mother) for Carl Feldmann)
  • 1929 - 10/1945 Oswald Adolf Carl Feldmann (expropriated October 1945)

Karl Feldmann contributed financially in the 1880s to the bell and around 1900 to a stained glass window for the Beyersdorf church. Juliushof belonged to the district of Glebitzsch and to the parish and school district of Beyersdorf . To the east of Juliushof is the so-called "Gutspark". It represents the remaining forest, which once existed many times over in the area between Brehna and Beyersdorf as "Brehnaer Busch". Large areas of it were cut down at the beginning of the 19th century. A so-called community forest, which was later removed, was located south of Glebitzsch until the 20th century. The estate was owned by the Feldmann family until the 1940s. The landowner was expropriated for land reform in 1945/46. He then fled to Germany with his family around 1960.

After the land reform after 1945, the estate was divided among 16 new farmers, including the Feldmann family. The manor buildings were partially demolished and converted into several new farmer sites. The new farmers founded an LPG in 1952. In 1953 it was merged with Beyersdorf to form the Beyersdorf-Juliushof LPG.

With the incorporation of the former communities of Beyersdorf and Köckern into the community of Glebitzsch in 1950, Juliushof was also incorporated into the community of Glebitzsch. Until 1983, Juliushof was a district of Glebitzsch. The place was resettled in 1982/83 due to ailing buildings. The last residents moved to Beyersdorf. Then the buildings and paths were removed. The good

The estate consisted of a manor house to the west, surrounded by two long outbuildings. To the east of the manor house was a manor park and in front of it a cemetery where the family members of the manor were buried. The manor was open to the west towards the Brehnaer Busch. Behind the path that ran from Beyersdorf to Brehna was a large orchard. To the south there was an avenue that led to the road between Glebitzsch and Brehna. With the construction of the Berlin – Munich autobahn in 1937/1938, this road was no longer usable. The then landowner Feldmann was able to decide when building the motorway whether it should run east or west of his estate. He decided to go east behind the manor park.
