action

Corbin Bleu , who became known through High School Musical , plays the passionate boxer Izzy, who trains very hard every day to please his father. This former boxer also owns a large boxing hall and a boxing club. Izzy's family mourns the death of his mother. One day, Izzy accompanies his little sister to a double-Dutch tournament, in which Izzy's secret love, Mary, also takes part. Izzy quickly realizes that he likes this sport a lot better than boxing and takes the chance to join Mary's Double-Dutch Team when it lacks a fourth man. At first only a bad substitute, Izzy trains so hard that Mary quickly discovers his talent. But since Double-Dutch is “uncool” for boys of Izzy's age, everyone in his school soon insults him and calls him a loser. But he is strong and proves his talent to everyone in a Double Dutch national battle with daring jumps and a well-staged show. Everyone is enthusiastic, and Izzy, together with his Double-Dutch team, is allowed to take part in the international Double-Dutch fights.

Reviews

“A youth film about a popular American sport, Double Dutch, which is also practiced in competitive form. The Romeo and Juliet story, with a lot of music, tells once again that you should listen to your conscience and your inner voice in order to make the right decision. "
