Juozas Šliažas
Juozas Šliažas (born June 13, 1925 in Rimšiai , Akmenė district, Papilė district ; † January 10, 2009 ) was a Lithuanian professor .
Life
After primary school in 1939, he studied in Šiauliai and Vilnius Polytechnic . From 1946 studied at the Kauno valstybinis universitetas and in 1951 graduated from the Kauno politechnikos institutas . From 1951 to 1964 he worked at the Petrašiūnai power plant and received his doctorate in 1971, since 1980 he has taught at the Lietuvos kūno kultūros institutas , and since 1986 he has been a professor. From 1992 to 2002 he taught at the University of Szczecin in Poland .
