Jure Zrimšek (born January 20, 1982 ) is a former Slovenian cyclist .

Athletic career

Jure Zrimšek won a stage at the Olympia's Tour in 2002 and won the bronze medal in the time trial at the U23 European Championship. In the same year he was U23 European champion in the points race on the track . The following year he won part of the Tour of Slovenia and came second in the U23 European Time Trial Championship.

In 2004 Zrimšek won a stage of the Istrian Spring Trophy and also won the overall standings. A year later he became a professional with the Italian Professional Continental Team Acqua & Sapone . After two years without success, he moved to the Slovenian Continental Team Adria Mobil . In his first season there he won the Croatian one-day race Memorial Nevio Valcic and the prologue of the country tour there.

At the beginning of 2009, Zrimšek announced his resignation, but returned to cycling for three years the following year. In 2010 he won Banja Luka-Belgrade . He contested his last race in May 2012.
