Yuri Grigoryevich Schatalow ( Russian Юрий Григорьевич Шаталов ; born June 13, 1945 in Omsk , Russian SFSR ; † March 20, 2018 ) was a Soviet ice hockey player .
Career
During his Soviet period, the defender played for Krylya Sowetov Moscow . In total, he scored 32 goals in 441 games in the Soviet league . As early as December 7, 1968, he was in a game against Canada for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with a gold medal at the Ice Hockey World Championship in 1974. For the national team, he scored 3 goals in 29 international matches. On December 21, 1974, he played his last international match. In 1973 he was honored with the admission into the " Russian Hockey Hall of Fame ".
