Yuri Stumpf (born February 10, 1966 in Novosibirsk , Russian SFSR ) is a former German ice hockey player who played on the position of defender . In the top German league he was active for Eintracht Frankfurt , Hedos Munich and the Eisbären Berlin .

Career

In the 1988/89 season Juri Stumpf played for EHC Wolfsburg in the 2nd Bundesliga . For the following season he laced his ice skates for Eintracht Frankfurt in the 1st Bundesliga and after one season he moved to EC Hedos Munich within the league . In the 1991/92 season he joined the EHC Dynamo Berlin from the 2nd Bundesliga, with which he was promoted to the top division at the end of the season. Until the end of the 1995/96 season he played for the capital city - now as Eisbären Berlin - in the 1st Bundesliga and later the DEL .

In 1996 he moved to the second highest division for EHC Neuwied , with whom he won the DEB League Cup in 1997 and the first division championship in 1997 and 1998 . During the 1999/2000 season , the EHC Neuwied had to file for bankruptcy and Stumpf ended the season with league competitor SC Bietigheim-Bissingen before ending his active career in 2000/01 with the Heilbronner Falken .
