Jurij Serhijowytsch Schestak , Ukrainian ; Юрій Сергійович Шестак, English ; Yury Serhiyovych Shestak (* 26. April 1993 in Kharkiv ) is a Ukrainian boxer in the lightweight .

successes

Jurij Schestak won the Ukrainian Youth Championships and the European Youth Championships in Dublin in 2011 . In the elite class he was Ukrainian bantamweight champion in 2013 and Ukrainian U22 champion in 2015 and took part in the 2015 European Games in Baku . In 2016 he won the Ukrainian lightweight championships.

His greatest success so far was winning the gold medal in the lightweight at the 2017 European Championships in Kharkiv . He defeated Stipan Prtenjača (5: 0), Sofiane Oumiha (3: 2), Calum French (3: 2) and Gabil Mamedow (4: 1). He qualified for the 2017 World Championships in Hamburg , where he was eliminated in the quarter-finals against Sofiane Oumiha (0: 5). In the last sixteen he had defeated Calum French (4-1).
