NFL

Herbert was selected in the NFL Draft 2020 in 6th place in the 1st round by the Los Angeles Chargers , who had already lost their long-time starting quarterback Philip Rivers as a free agent to the Indianapolis Colts in the previous offseason .
In addition to his great talent as a player, Herbert's possibly missing manager was discussed again and again before the draft, as he was considered a rather introverted player from college days. In terms of sport, Herbert stood out in college and in the NFL Combine above all with a strong limb, but also showed weaknesses in throwing accuracy and in the game overview.
