The Justice Park (Romanian: Parcul Justiției , formerly: Parcul Consiliului Popular , German: Park of the People's Council ) is a park in the Cetate district in Timișoara .
Geographical location
The justice park is located in the center of Timișoara, on Bulevardul Constantin Diaconovici Loga, on the northern Begaufer , opposite the city hall (Romanian: Primăria orașului ). It creates the connection between the cathedral park and the rose park .

With its 26,200 square meters, the Justice Park is one of the city's small parks. In 1996, the Association of Former Bărăgan Deportees erected a memorial in the triangular park to commemorate those who were deported to the Bărăgan steppe from 1951 to 1956 .
In 2015, the park was renovated and redesigned by the local government with EU funds amounting to two million euros. The reopening took place on December 22, 2015.
The Justice Park fits seamlessly into the ensemble of the park on the northern Begaufer ( Central Park , the cathedral green , Rose Park , Children's Park ) a. Its name comes from the communist era, when it was also called the People's Council Park (Romanian: Parcul Consiliului Popular ). At that time, a showy palace of justice was to be built in its center , which would also have meant the end of the park.
The park got a new lawn and new flower islands, 38 new benches and 35 wastebasket, a modern irrigation and an eco-lighting system. The avenues have been completely renewed and the old fencing removed so that visitors have free access to the park. 50 new trees and bushes were planted and 100,000 onions were planted on around 20,000 square meters.
