The correctional facility in Gießen is a correctional institution at Gutfleischstrasse 2 A in Gießen . It consists of two departments for the closed and for the open execution .

It was the branch office of the Butzbach prison until 1995 and has space for 128 prisoners. The neighboring Wolfgang-Mittermaier -Haus for the open execution has 70 places.

In 2016 a murder suspect committed suicide, and in 2017 the arson suspect.
