Jutta Jahns-Boehm

Jutta Jahns-Böhm (born September 14, 1958 in Selters (Westerwald) ) is a German administrative lawyer and political officer . Since November 21, 2019, she has been State Secretary for the State of Brandenburg at the federal level .

Life

education

Jahns-Böhm studied law at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , she passed her first state examination in 1983, followed by the second state examination in 1986 . In 1986 and 1987 she completed postgraduate studies at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University and was then a research assistant at the chair for German and foreign public law, international law and European law at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg . In 1994 she did her doctorate on European environmental law.

Professional background

From April 1993 Jahns-Böhm worked in various positions for the state government of Brandenburg . a. in the Representation of the State of Brandenburg for Federal and State , most recently she was until 2007 as head of Mirror Unit economy, labor, technology and finance working there. In December 2007 she moved to the Federal Government Commissioner for the Affairs of the New States , where she acted as a sub-department head. In July 2010, she returned to the Representation of the State of Brandenburg at the federal level, where she became head of the department and head of the international relations department.

As part of the formation of the Woidke III cabinet , Jutta Jahns-Böhm was appointed representative of the state of Brandenburg at the federal government on December 21, 2019. In the Federal Council she is a deputy member of the Franco-German and Russian-German friendship groups.
