Jutta Menschik
Jutta Menschik-Bendele (born April 11, 1944 in Obernigk ) is a German-Austrian psychologist and psychoanalyst who mainly works in Austria . She is emeritus full professor for clinical psychology and psychotherapy at the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt and a practicing psychotherapist.
Life
Jutta Menschik studied political science and psychology at the Free University of Berlin and graduated with a diploma in both subjects. From 1971 to 1984 she was an assistant and assistant professor at the Institute for Psychology at the Free University of Berlin. She received her doctorate in 1976 and qualified as a professor in 1978 in psychology. In 1984 she was appointed to the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt, where she held a chair for clinical psychology and psychotherapy. There she was Vice Rector for Research from May 2006 to March 2010. In October 2012 she retired.
Menschik has a psychotherapeutic practice for psychoanalysis, couple and family therapy . In addition, she works as a training analyst for individual and group psychoanalysis , as a teaching therapist for systemic family therapy , supervision and coaching , and as a group leader at the workshops of the International Working Group for Group Analysis in Altaussee .
She is married to the journalist Jochen Bendele and has two daughters.

- 2006: 1st prize in the award for innovative teaching at the Alpen-Adria University of Klagenfurt
- 2009: Great Silver Decoration for Services to the Republic of Austria
- 2014: Great Gold Medal of Honor from the State of Carinthia
