The Juwilejnyj Stadium ( Ukrainian Стадіо́н Ювіле́йний , Russian Стадион Юбилейный , German Jubilee Stadium Stadium Jubileiny ) is a football stadium in the Ukrainian city of Sumy in the oblast of the same name .
history
The Juwilejnyj Stadium was built from 1999 to 2001 to replace the Spartak Stadium , which was demolished in 1989 . The name of the complex goes back to the 10th anniversary of Ukraine's independence from the Soviet Union in 1991 and in view of the 350th anniversary of the founding of the city of Sumy (founded in 1652). It is the home ground of the PFC Sumy football club and offers 25,830 seats. Other teams such as FC Spartak Sumy (2001-2006), FK Kharkiv ( 2008/09 season ) and Olimpik Donetsk (August to December 2016) were temporary users of the stadium.
On July 11, 2009, the game for the Ukrainian Football Supercup between Dynamo Kiev and Vorskla Poltava (0: 0 a.s., 4: 2 p.a.) was played in the Sumy stadium. Two years later, on May 25, 2011, the final of the Ukrainian Football Cup took place in the Juvileyny Stadium. Shakhtar Donetsk won 2-0 against Dynamo Kiev.
