Jyrki Tapani Ponsiluoma (born December 5, 1966 in Kurikka ) is a former Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Ponsiluoma, who started for the Åsarna IK , ran his first World Cup race in Ramsau am Dachstein in December 1988 and finished 12th in the 15 km freestyle. In the following month in Kawgolowo he achieved his best single place in the World Cup with the sixth place over 15 km classic and at the end of the season with the 27th place in the overall World Cup his best overall result. In addition, won third place with the relay in Kawgolowo. In the 1991/92 season he was eighth over 30 km classic in his only Olympic participation in Albertville and third in the relay at the World Cup in Funäsdalen . He completed his tenth and last individual World Cup race in November 1994 in Kiruna , which he finished classically in 63rd place over 10 km. In the Swedish championships he won four times with the relay of Åsarna IK from 1991 to 1994.
