Location of the Jyväskylä Administrative Community in Finland

The administrative community Jyväskylä ( Finnish Jyväskylän seutukunta ) is one of six administrative communities ( seutukunta ) in the Finnish landscape of Central Finland . The eponymous Jyväskylä , the largest city in the region, and the surrounding area belong to it . A total of around 165,000 people live in the area. The Jyväskylä region is one of the growth centers in Finland. Between 1995 and 2004, the number of jobs in the administrative community rose by almost a third.

The Jyväskylä administrative community includes the following seven cities and municipalities :

• Hankasalmi
• Jyväskylä
• Laukaa
• Muurame
• Petäjävesi
• Toivakka
• Uurainen
