Toivakka [ ˈtoi̯ʋɑkkɑ ] is a municipality in the Central Finland region in western Finland .
Localities
Haukanmaa, Heiska, Huikko, Humalamäki, Kankainen, Kirkonkylä, Nisula, Paloskylä, Ruuhimäki, Taka-Toivakka, Vihijärvi and Viisarimäki belong to the municipality.

The Center Party and the Social Democrats are roughly on par in Toivakka with an election result of around 31 percent each in the 2008 local elections and each has seven MPs in the local council, the highest decision-making body for local affairs. Third strongest force are the Christian Democrats with three seats, followed by the conservative National Assembly Party with two seats. A local electoral roll ( Toivakan sitoutumattomat yhteislista ) also won two seats .
