Kälberberg (Buttenheim)

Kälberberg is a village around 1000 meters west of Tiefenhöchstadt with around 30 inhabitants. It belongs to the municipality of Buttenheim in the Bamberg district . To the southwest of Kälberberg lies Hochstall , another district of Buttenheim.

The village was first mentioned in 1145 as "Calwenberg".

Attractions

  • Shortly before the eastern entrance of Kälberberg stands the 142 m high Bamberg telecommunications tower , which was built for radio, television and telephone at the end of the 1980s.
  • The bell tower built in 1996 in the middle of the village .
