history
Tiefenhöchstadt was for a long time an Obleidorf of Bamberg and the bishopric until its secularization in 1802. The levy consisted of grain and other natural produce, which the monastery used as the economic basis for its own housekeeping. Later, the natural produce was partially or completely replaced by cash payments. Around 1690, the place received a municipal code from its overlord at the time.
On January 1, 1972, Tiefenhöchstadt was incorporated into the Buttenheim market.
