Köbi Gantenbein

Köbi Gantenbein (born February 25, 1956 in Samedan ) is the publisher of the Hochparterre magazine as well as author and editor.

Life

Gantenbein is the son of a trainer and grew up in Malans in the canton of Graubünden . He trained as a journalist at the Bündner Zeitung , studied sociology at the University of Zurich and completed his studies with a thesis on the graphics of tourism in the canton of Graubünden. He has tourist practice as a gardener, golf caddy, ski instructor, dining car waiter and lifeguard.

After completing his studies, he worked as a scientist for the Swiss National Science Foundation , and from the beginning of his studies as a reporter for Swiss Radio DRS . For 15 years he was a teacher at the School of Design (today Zurich University of the Arts ).

Since 1988 "builds" it with Benedict Loderer and today with 14 colleagues, nine colleagues and an apprentice on the mezzanine floor , a Swiss magazine for architecture and design. He also writes as a guest author in the daily newspaper Die Südostschweiz . In 2007, the Swiss Association for Mountain Regions awarded him their prize for his contributions to planning and architecture in the Alps. In 2013 he received the Zurich Journalism Prize .

He lives in Zurich and Fläsch (Graubünden).
