history

Königsberg was cleared from the forest around 1400. At the beginning of the 19th century it consisted of three somewhat scattered properties. In 1875 the place had seven residents in two residential buildings, in 1904 only the hunting lodge existed and the place is no longer mentioned in the municipality register. In 1920 a lightning strike destroyed the last remaining house.

Today the area is overgrown by forest again. There is a forest barn on the site of property no. 70. The names of the Königsberger Moos forest area to the west and the Königsberger Forest in the north still recall the place.
