Wenglingen is a district of the municipality of Aitrang and a district in the Swabian district of Ostallgäu .

geography

The village is located in the Bavarian planning region Allgäu , two kilometers northeast of Aitrang.

history

A moated castle in Wenglingen is mentioned in 1241. Wenglingen has belonged to the municipality of Apfeltrang since the municipal edict of 1818 . On May 1, 1978, Apfeltrang was incorporated into Ruderatshofen . On January 1, 1982 Wenglingen with the wastes Lohbauer and Unger was reclassified to Aitrang after a referendum.
