Königswald is one of three districts of the Cornberg community in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district in East Hesse .
geography
The place is located in northeastern Hesse on the Sontra , which rises west of the place.
history
The village was first mentioned in documents in 1351.
On August 1, 1972 Königswald was incorporated into the municipality of Cornberg as part of the regional reform in Hesse . Until then it belonged to the Rotenburg district .
