Small towns Sontra

The Sontra is a 21.3 km long, right or southern tributary of the weirs in the northeastern part of Hesse ( Germany ).

The Sontra rises in the Stölzinger Mountains in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district and flows from there through the Werra-Meißner district . The source is 362.7  m above sea level. NN on the slopes of the Mosenberg ( 485.8  m ), which rises west of Cornberg - Königswald .

From there the Sontra flows through Rockensüß to the east. On the southern outskirts of Berneburg , the Cornberger Water flows into it from the south . Before Sontra , which flows through it, it picks up the hazel and then turns north, after which the Ulfe , the Datterpfeife and the Netra flow into it.

Finally , the Sontra flows from the south and flows into the weirs coming from the west at an altitude of 193.8  m at Wehretal -Oetmannshausen .
