The Kürti ( Kazakh Күрті ; Russian Курты Kurty ) is a left tributary of the Ili area Almaty in Kazakhstan .

The Kürti arises north of Usynaghasch at the confluence of the Aqsenggir and Schirenaighyr . The river initially flows mainly in a northerly direction through the Kazakh steppe . The Kürti reservoir lies on the course of the river . At Aqschi , some of the river water is diverted through canals for irrigation and the local water supply. The rest of the water continues to flow northeast along the original course of the river and finally reaches the lower Ili. The Kürti has a length of 123 km. Its catchment area covers 12,500 km². It extends from the Transili-Alatau in the south and the Schetichol in the southwest to the Schu-Ili Mountains in the northwest.
