Overweight high school student Kae Serinuma is not very popular at her school, just has one good friend and the boys are not interested in her. But Kae - otaku and Yaoi fan - doesn't mind, because she prefers to imagine the handsome boys falling in love with each other. One day when her favorite character dies on a television series, she is so desperate that she doesn't eat for a week. Suddenly she is losing weight, becoming slim and attractive and when she comes back to school, suddenly her classmates are interested in her - above all the best-looking ones in school: Yūsuke Igarashi, Nozomu Nanashima, Hayato Shinomiya and Asuma Mutsumi. But instead of the four of them courting her, Kae would rather see them flirt with each other.
