kk Standschützenkompanie Strigno
The Imperial and Royal Standschützenkompanie Strigno was part of the last contingent that the Austro-Hungarian Army was able to raise in May 1915 on the southern border of the monarchy attacked by the Italian army .
The men of the Standschützenkompanie Strigno were recruited partly from the village of Strigno , partly from the village of Grigno, which is located in the extreme southeastern tip of Welschtirol , and the surrounding hamlets . Both villages were in the evacuated area, which was not occupied by the Italians until June 6, 1915.

After the mobilization , the company was transported to the defensive line to the west between Monte Panarotta (2,002 m) and Sasso Rotto (2,396 m) north of the Valsugana . In 1916 she took part in the spring offensive on the Seven Municipalities and later occupied the heights of Barricata and Marcésina.
In all likelihood, the company was previously merged with other formations from the Valsugana .
