Strigno ( dt. Obsolete Striegen ) is a fraction of the municipality Castel Ivano and until 2015 was an independent municipality ( comune ) in the north Italian Trentino in the region Trentino-South Tyrol . The municipality of Strigno belonged to the valley community Comunità Valsugana e Tesino . Strigno is located about 31 kilometers east of Trento at an altitude of 506 mslm. The place's patronage festival is the Immaculate Conception on December 8th.

On January 1, 2016 Strigno merged with the municipalities of Villa Agnedo and Spera to form the new municipality of Castel Ivano. The municipality of Strigno had 1424 inhabitants on December 31, 2015 on an area of ​​12.22 km². The factions Latini, Lupi, Pellegrini and Tomaselli belonged to it. The neighboring communities were Bieno , Ivano-Fracena , Pieve Tesino , Samone , Scurelle , Spera and Villa Agnedo.
