The steam locomotive k.uk FB 2:01 was a narrow gauge - Train Locomotive of the imperial army railways of Austria .
Shortly after the kuk FB 1.01-06 was ordered , a new study came to the conclusion that locomotives with tenders would be preferable to tank locomotives, as they could carry larger supplies and thereby simplify operations. When the StEG locomotive factory offered a suitable machine in 1905, it was ordered. The first and fourth axles were laterally movable with outer wheel flanges. The second and third axles were fixed with internal wheel flanges. This construction meant that it derailed six times during the first test drive and even overturned another time. Driving through points also caused problems. The vehicle was therefore converted to grooved wheels, which proved themselves better. However, she soon derailed when driving on snow-covered tracks. It was decided to order a slightly modified type as kuk FB 3.01–24 .
The 2.01 was sold to the Ennstal wood industry after the First World War .
