The KOMM MIT - profit organization for international youth, sports and cultural encounters mbH is a Founded in 1983, non-profit organization for international youth, sports and cultural encounters. history

The company was founded in 1983 by Karlheinz Reinartz in Bonn . The society for international youth and sports encounters initially had judo, tennis, squash and horse riding in addition to football. The final specialization in football came at a later date. After a year of preparation, the first tournament event was held, the “1. international Whitsun tournament “on the Costa Brava in Spain. 9 years later (1993) the society organized its only non-European tournament in Senegal to date. The television company ZDF accompanied this event. In the same year the cooperation with the German Football Association began. In the years that followed, a large number of special tournaments and funding projects took place. Including the tournament event “ALLtogether 2000” in Leipzig in 2000 in honor of the 100th anniversary of the German Football Association. In 2008 the ALLtogether european youth football festival took place for the first time.

Support measures

The company organizes international youth football tournaments for the age groups U09 / U11 / U13 / U15 / U17 / U19- juniors and U17, U15- and over-17 juniors. These take place across Europe in Spain , Italy , Germany , Croatia , Greece and the Netherlands . The target group are boys and girls from all countries that belong to UEFA and FIFA . Every year 1,400 teams take part in the tournaments, in 2013 there were over 4,000 players in a single tournament. A total of up to 30,000 participants take part in the Europe-wide tournaments every year.

Funding projects

The company supports the integration of different cultures, voluntary work and health education through various measures. Among other things, it honors particularly committed youth coaches and promotes the gathering of young people from different countries.

DFB soccer heroes

Since 2015, KOMM MIT has also been an official cooperation partner in the area of ​​the DFB's recognition culture and thus an “official cooperation partner for soccer heroes”. The aim of this partnership is to promote young talent in the field of child and youth trainers / carers. All around 280 football circles choose their personal football hero every year (young people who have made an outstanding contribution to youth football). The winners, between the ages of 16 and 30, will then be honored by the German Football Association and will be invited to the KOMM MIT educational trip to Spain in autumn. The first award of this kind took place from October 17-21, 2016 in Santa Susanna (Spain). The honors were given by Hansi Flick , sports director at the German Football Association and former assistant coach of the German national team.

100 silent heroes (youth coach 2013-2015)

Since 2013, the non-profit organization KOMM MIT has been looking for the 100 most committed youth football coaches and supervisors throughout Germany under the motto "100 silent heroes". Together with media partners such as B. the Mittelbayerische Zeitung or the Berliner Woche, national football associations and other partners such. B. Everything football - every spring, the shop calls on KOMM MIT to submit suggestions for youth football coaches and supervisors who have made a special contribution to their football clubs in Germany. The aim of the funding project is to promote voluntary work in the clubs and to support youth amateur football at the grassroots level. The jury, consisting of Erich Rutemöller, Paul Schomann, Uli Stielike and Dirk Lottner (who has been with us since 2015), selects the 100 winners who will be invited to a continuing education course (KOMM MIT educational trip) to Spain.

The future in view - be clever and live healthy

The society started a new prevention project together with the German Cancer Aid in April 2012. Under the motto “The future in view - be clever and live healthy”, the topic of a healthy lifestyle will be part of the numerous events. The children and young people as well as the trainers and supervisors receive tips on how to eat healthily and protect themselves well in the sun. Other topics include quitting smoking, physical fitness and the ways to avoid cancer in adulthood.

Special events

Four Nations Friendship Cup

Every year in September the DFB organizes the U17-KOMM MIT 4-Nationentourier, in which traditionally the U17 junior national teams from Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and Israel compete against each other. In addition to the meeting of the national teams, KOMM MIT organizes the “Four Nations Friendship Cup”. The participating youth teams of the Four Nations Friendship Cup represent the four nations of the U17 national teams with the aim of identifying with another nation, developing a superior team spirit and playing football together in a special, festive setting. The tournament shows how much football connects people and how you can learn about other countries and cultures through sport.

ALLtogether (european youth football festival 2008)

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the company, the ALLtogether european youth football festival took place for the first time in July 2008. Over 70 U15 teams from 48 UEFA member associations took part in the tournament. The tournament was under the auspices of UEFA. The winner of the U15 boys category was the team from EPS Macedonia from Greece. In the U15 girls category, the team from UMF Afturelding from Iceland won. The FAIR-PLAY Cup donated by UNICEF went to the FC VOLOV team from Bulgaria.

ALLtogether (european youth football festival 2010)

The positive response to the ALLtogether event from 2008 prompted KOMM MIT to launch a unique series of tournaments. With the ALLtogether, which will take place every two years up to and including 2016, the society wants to bring together youth teams from the 54 nations of the UEFA member associations. For this purpose, the same clubs are invited to this tournament series, which takes place every 2 years, so that they have the opportunity to get to know each other better and to make intercultural friendships. In the summer of 2010, the kick-off event with the U13 boys and girls teams took place in Linz, Austria, under the auspices of UEFA, the Council of Europe and UNICEF. The winner of the U13 girls category was the team from IK Grand Bodø from Norway. In the U13 boys, the team from Bursaspor from Turkey won.

ALLtogether (european youth football festival 2014)

From July 7th to 12th, 2014, the non-profit organization KOMM MIT organized the ALLtogether - european youth football festival on the Maifeld in Berlin under the patronage of UEFA. More than 1,000 children and young people from 29 nations took part in this international youth football tournament. Teams from different European countries were invited to their respective national embassies in Berlin. Also there was u. a. the former national soccer player Thomas Hitzlsperger .
