K 67 was a concept vehicle and, after the Berkeley Sports and the Lotus Elite, the third car with a self-supporting plastic body.

The K 67 was presented in 1967 at the K plastics fair in Düsseldorf . It was designed by the designer Hans Gugelot and produced under the leadership of BMW and Bayer AG in collaboration with Waggon- und Maschinenbau GmbH Donauwörth and Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm .

The fenders and bonnet were made of fiberglass-reinforced polyurethane , and the fuel tank was made of polyamide . The instrument panel and center console were also made of polyurethane. The self-supporting floor assembly was also made of plastic. It was made in sandwich construction from glass fiber reinforced epoxy resin with a rigid foam core.

Only 5 of the car were built, two of which still exist. One is in the Deutsches Museum in Munich, the other is owned by Covestro AG . On October 2, 1967, the first K 67 was approved for road traffic.
