Cabinet of Kalvītis I
The Latvian Cabinet ( Cabinet Kalvītis I ), which is composed of 17 ministers, the office of the Prime Minister or Prime Minister, the chairmen of the parliamentary groups of the coaling parties and the respective ministerial state secretaries, was constituted on December 2, 2004 under Prime Minister Aigars Kalvītis (Latvian People's Party / Tautas partija). The ruling parliamentary groups of the People's Party (TP) , the New Age (JL) , the First Party of Latvia (LPP) and the Alliance of Greens and Peasants (ZZS) were represented in the cabinet until April 13, 2006 . Then Neue Zeit left the government and its ministers were replaced by members of the other parties, a non-party and a member of the Latvian Way (LC) party . On November 7, 2007, after mass demonstrations and the resignation of several ministers, the government announced that it would resign on December 5.
