Kafr Jasif ( Arabic كفر ياسيف , DMG Kufr Yaseef , Hebrew כַּפְר יָסִיף) is a primarily Arabic small town with 10,029 inhabitants (as of 2018) in the northern district of Israel . The place is located 11 km northeast of the city of Akkon and is divided into a Christian and a Muslim population, in addition to a Druze minority.
etymology
According to traditional interpretation, the name of the place was originally Kefar Akko , until Josephus fortified the settlement and renamed it after himself.
