Kahramanmaraş Büyükşehir Belediyespor or Kahramanmaraş BB or Kahramanmaraş BBSK for short is a Turkish sports club from the eastern Turkish city of Kahramanmaraş in the Kahramanmaraş province of the same name and was founded in 1976 as a company sports club of the city administration. The club maintains good relations with Kahramanmaraşspor , which means that both clubs give each other players on favorable terms. Kahramanmaraş BB is best known for its soccer department , and the club also runs other departments in volleyball and wrestling . After the province of Kahramanmaraş received the status of Büyükşehir Belediyesi (German: "City Administration ") in 2013 , the club also changed its previous name from Kahramanmaraş Belediyespor (German: Sports Club of the Kahramanmaraş City Council) to Kahramanmaraş Büyükşehir Belediyespor (German: Sports Club) Kahramanmaraş City Council) .
history
Foundation and the first years
The club was founded on 1976 as a company sports club of the city administration of Kahramanmaraş . After the club was founded, the club took part in the lowest regional amateur league and gradually worked its way up to the higher Turkish amateur leagues before advancing to the highest Turkish amateur league, the Bölgesel Amatoer Ligi (BAL), in the 2000s .
Modern times
In the 2011/12 BAL season, the club reached the league championship under the leadership of coach Fethi Çokkeser and rose to the TFF 3rd Lig for the first time in the club's history . With this, the club also achieved its first participation in Turkish professional football. In its first fourth division season, the TFF 3rd Lig 2012/13 , the club reached the playoffs. In the playoffs they lost in the semifinals against Darıca Gençlerbirliği and thus missed promotion to the TFF 2nd Lig .
For the 2013/14 season, the club changed its name according to the new administrative status of the province of Kahramanmaraş. In the 2015/16 season the club missed relegation in the TFF 3rd Lig and was relegated to the amateur league.
