Kai-Uwe Bielefeld (born October 22, 1954 in Lüneburg ) is a German administrative officer and politician ( independent ). He is the district administrator of the Lower Saxony district of Cuxhaven with its administrative headquarters in Cuxhaven .

Life and work

Bielefeld was born in Lüneburg in 1954 and attended elementary school and grammar school there from 1960 to 1973. After graduating from high school, he completed his community service until 1975 and then studied journalism and law at the University of Mainz . He passed the first state examination in 1981, after which he worked as a trainee lawyer in Lüneburg, Stade and Winsen and passed his second state examination in 1983.

From 1983 to 1992 he was employed by the Lüneburg district government . In the district of Cuxhaven in 1992 he was first under District Martin Döscher the first county council and from 1 February 2004 the full-time successor. He was re-elected on September 11, 2011 with 79.5% and on May 26, 2019 with 63.5% of the votes.

He is married to Gerlinde Schulz and has three children.
