Martin Döscher

Martin Döscher (born February 3, 1935 in Köhlen , Wesermünde district ; † September 22, 2019 in the Bremerhaven Clinic ) was a German farmer and politician ( CDU ).

Döscher attended elementary school in Köhlen from 1941 to 1950. He then switched to agricultural vocational school until 1951. Between 1953 and 1954 he also attended the agricultural school in Bederkesa and was then an apprentice in an agricultural training company in Brunsbrock, Verden district . He passed the agricultural assistant exam.

Döscher had been a member of the CDU since the year of entry in 1968. He was district chairman of the Junge Union for two years . In the party district he became a member of the board and in 1970 full-time managing director of the CDU. He was chairman of the supervisory board of Volksbank Bederkesa.

He has been a councilor since 1968, and from 1972 to 2011 he was elected mayor of the municipality of Köhlen. He was a member of the Bederkesa municipal council and in 1976 became a member of the district council, initially for the Wesermünde district and, after the district reform, from 1977 onwards for the Cuxhaven district . Here he was elected chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. From 1991 to 2004 he was the last honorary district administrator in the district of Cuxhaven . His full-time successor was Kai-Uwe Bielefeld .

Döscher was from the ninth to twelfth electoral term (June 21, 1978 to June 20, 1994) a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the Hadeln constituency .
