Kai-Uwe Kranz

Kai-Uwe Kranz (born October 30, 1979 in Leipzig ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Kranz was born in Leipzig and moved to Gütersloh with his family as a child . He played at TSVE Bielefeld in the regional league before playing for various second division clubs at Bremen club TSV Lesum , Paderborn 91 , ART Düsseldorf and SSV Ulm between 2001 and 2004 . In 2004 he moved to VfL Kirchheim , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2006.

In 2008, Kranz, who had his strengths particularly in distance throwing, returned to the regional league by moving to Schwenningen . During the 2009/10 season, Kranz changed from Schwenningen to Leipzig. He also rose with the Saxons, so that from 2010 he played with the university giants in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . In the 2012/13 season, Kranz played with Leipzig in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA .

In addition to basketball and after his professional career, Kranz made a name for himself as a musician.
