The Wawerner Bruch nature reserve is located in the Trier-Saarburg district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The 43.81 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection by ordinance of January 24, 1990 , extends in the area of ​​the local community of Wawern west of the core town. Not far to the west runs the B 51 , not far to the east and south the state road L 137.

In the area there is a wetland area with reed reeds , United sedges -Riedern and wet high perennial corridors and the portion of a silted Saar - meander .
