The Nitteler Fels nature reserve is located in the Trier-Saarburg district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The 23.85 hectare nature reserve, which was placed under nature protection by ordinance of October 5, 1998 , extends north of the local community of Nittel and the state road L 135 and east of the Moselle and the B 419 .

It is a lean , dry grass complex with dolomite rock formations on the Upper Moselle .
