Kai Chosrau III. ( Persian غياث الدين كيخسرو بن قلج ارسلان, Ghīyāth al-Dīn Kaykhusraw bin Kilij Arslān; Turkish : III. Gıyaseddin Keyhusrev; † 1282 ) was a Seljuk Sultan of Rum .

He was the son of Kılıç Arslan IV , who was executed by the Ilkhan in 1265 . So Kai Chosrau III. as a toddler new sultan. The sultanate, however, had long been under Mongolian sovereignty and the sultans were vassals of the Mongolian Ilkhan. This is how Kai Chosrau III played. no important role as sultan. The sultanate was initially administered by the Pervane, later by the vizier Fakhr al-Din Ali .

In Anatolia , under the power vacuum of the Seljuks, new Beyliks developed . In addition, the Mameluks invaded Anatolia under Baibars in 1277 . Baibars was able to defeat the Seljuks and bind them to themselves, but was ousted by the Ilchan Abaqa again in the same year .

Later Kai Chosrau III got. in disputes for the throne of the Ilkhan and was executed in 1282 by the new ruler of the Ilkhan. His successor was his cousin Mas'ud II - son of Kai Kaus II.

The throne of Kai Chosraus III. has been preserved and is now in the Ankara Ethnographic Museum .
