Sahip Ata
Sahip Ata Fahrettin Ali also known as Fakhr al-Din Ali († 1288/1289) was a Seljuk politician. He was a vizier and grand vizier in the Sultanate of the Rum Seljuks .
Career
In the years 1256/57 to 1258/1259 he exercised the office of amīr-dād . In 1259 he became nā'ib . In the years 1259/60 to 1271/72 and 1272/1273 to 1288/89 he held the office of vizier. After Pervane's death he became Grand Vizier.
Buildings
He established many foundations and had mosques and madrasas built, u. a. the Sahip Ata Mosque in Konya , the Ince Minareli Medrese in Konya and the Gök Medrese in Sivas (1271) His buildings are among the most important monuments of Seljuk architecture .
Beylik
He founded the beylik of the Sahipataoğulları in Afyonkarahisar . Right from the start he came into conflict with the Germiyan beylike . Soon after his death, the Beylik became dependent on the Germiyan.
