The Kaiserzipf ( 339.1 m above sea level. A. ) is a wooded hill in the 13th Viennese district Hietzing .
geography
The Kaiserzipf is located in the southwestern part of the Hietzing district in the Lainzer Tiergarten on the border with Breitenfurt . To the north of the Kaiserzipf lies the Faßlwiese, south of the Kaufberg . In the west the Kaiserzipf is bordered by the Laaber Kaiserzipf , in the east by the Kleiner Eichberg . The wooded hill is part of the Vienna Woods Mountains , the northeasternmost foothills of the Eastern Alps . In the northeast, the Kaiserzipf flows around the Gütenbach .
Origin of name
The name Kaiserzipf was first documented in 1788 as Kayerzipf . In 1819 it was first mentioned as Kaiserzipf . The forest was named after its owner, the imperial court. The name Zipf refers to the tapering shape of the forest.
