Kaitlyn Dias (born May 11, 1999 in El Dorado Hills , California ) is an American actress and voice actress who became famous for her voice as Riley in the Pixar production Everything is upside down and other productions based on it.

life and career

Kaitlyn Dias was born on May 11, 1999 in El Dorado Hills, Northern California , where she also grew up. At the age of five, she began acting in school and church productions. She appeared in at least six theatrical productions at the local Lakehills Covenant Church and also starred in a theater production at Ponderosa High School in El Dorado County . After she completed her first training as an actress in her hometown of El Dorado Hills, after moving to Los Angeles she was mainly trained here, but also in the capital Sacramento and in San Francisco . In 2011 she participated in the first notable film production; In Karl Ford's short film Burial, she played a younger version of the main character Jessie (played by Noot Seear ). A year later she had an appearance in the Scientology film Fundamentals of Thought ( German Scientology: The basics of thinking ) of the Scientology production company Golden Era Productions . After she starred in Julio Saldarriaga's action drama The Shifting in 2013 , she was cast in the lead role of Riley in the Disney - Pixar co-production Everything is upside down in 2014. In the German-language dubbed version of the film, the voice of Riley took over Vivien Gilbert, who was about the same age . Furthermore, in 2015 Dias had speaking roles as Riley in the film-based short film Riley's First Date? , as well as in the video game Disney Infinity 3.0 .
