Kalagi (spelling: Kalagie and also Kalagie Sanyang Kunda ) is a town in the West African state of Gambia .

According to a calculation for 2013, around 480 inhabitants live there, the result of the last published census from 1993 was 358.

geography

Kalagi is located in the east of the West Coast Region , Foni Jarrol District , approximately 98 kilometers east of Brikama and approximately 28 kilometers east of Bwiam . The place, about six meters above sea level, is on the South Bank Road , at the point where the trunk road turns north and crosses the Bintang Bolong . The Bintang Bolong, a tributary of the Gambia , is about 300 meters wide at this point. The crossing is made with a dam and the Brumen Bridge .
