Their usually simple, powerful shoots are round at the bottom and indistinctly square at the top. The sitting leaves are arranged closer to the base. Their obovate to oblong spatulate or almost circular leaf blades are 2 to 10.5 inches long and 1.7 to 4 inches wide. Its tip is rounded, the base embraces the stem and descends on the shoot. The leaf margin is entire.

Their corolla lobes are oblong or almost rectangular, rounded at the tip or truncated and have a length of 3 to 5.5 millimeters and are 2.2 to 2.7 millimeters wide. The stamens are attached near the throat of the corolla tube and protrude from the flower. The almost circular anthers are about 1 millimeter long.
