Kalinga Kumarage (born September 25, 1992 ) is a Sri Lankan sprinter .

Athletic career

Kalinga Kumarage gained his first international experience at the Asian Games in Incheon , South Korea , where he was eliminated with the Sri Lankan 4 x 400 meter relay in the lead. The following year he was fifth with the relay at the Asian Championships in Wuhan and retired in the 400-meter run with 47.56 s in the first round. In 2016 he won the silver medal with the relay at the South Asian Games in Guwahati . At the Asian Championships in 2017 in Bhubaneswar , he won the silver medal behind the team from India with the men's relay in 3: 04.80 minutes. In 2018 he took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time, finished eighth in the individual competition in 46.49 s and finished fourth in the relay in 3: 02.74 min.
