Kalles Kaviar is a reggae and ska band from Basel that was founded in 1995.
history
Kalles Kaviar has been playing traditional Jamaican Ska, Rocksteady and Early Reggae since 1996 . The band has eight musicians, including two singers, a brass section and a rhythm section. At the many appearances in Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy and Austria, Kalles Kaviar u. a. with bands like The Skatalites , Derrick Morgan , Laurel Aitken , Desmond Dekker , Ken Boothe , Dr. Ring-Ding , Intensified , Eastern Standard Time , New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble , Ska Trek or Top Cats . Highlights among them were the international ska festivals in Strasbourg, Paris, Potsdam and Rosslau, as well as the tour as the backing band of Roy Ellis aka Mr. Symarip, the former singer of Symarip .
